Description |
|
Iron fire starter in the shape of an ancient galley. This item was
used to strike a flint to ignite a fire. The shape is very unique
and one can see the curved front in the shape of the bow, as well as lines
along the sides representing the oars. The two loops would
facilitate the handles where the item would be held. The iron is
still in great shape and only has minor pitting. It is believed that
many Legionaries carried these to make fires for camp each night.
**any help in finding sources for this item would be appreciated, as I
have none**
